Google Analytics is added to the website to enable detailed yet simple reports. These tell you how many new or returning visitors your site has, where in the world they are from, which pages they look at and for how long. This can be used to help measure the success of promotional marketing activity and inform your future web strategy including; search engine marketing, pay per click and link building. If you advertise on other websites, the analytical reports will also tell you where your visitors are being referred from.
